An Assistance category is selected when an act of assistance is provided -- For example, if we served a client with $100 to partial help with a utility bill then the appropriate Assistance Category called "Utilities: Partial Payment" is selected (see screenshot here). The Assistance Category is helpful to describe the assistance to the client and can also be used when reporting so that you can report on only certain assistance categories if you wish.

"Services" provide a way for each agency to share the available resources that they offer to individuals in need (click here to watch a short overview video). Services work hand-in-hand with the "Request & Referral" feature (watch short overview video here). "Services" and "Requests & Referrals" are CharityTracker PLUS features only.
